Office Hours: Mon. 11 - 11.50 am, 3.10 - 4 pm; Wed. 11 - 11.50 am; Fri. 12.10 - 1 pm (subject to change).

Grading [revised plan]: 100% for in-class assignments (at random times during the first half-semester) and homework (last assignment due 4/27 5/1).

Special note: Regular A-F/I/R grades will be awarded at the end of the semester, as usual. However, you will then be given the option to convert to a P/NP grade if you wish. See the special announcement. In connection with this policy, the drop deadline has been extended to 4/3.

Textbooks:

Study Plan: Regular attendance and participation in class activities are the prerequisites for success. Regular and timely reading of the thrice-weekly class blog is the prerequisite for success. Except in extreme circumstances, no accommodation can be given for failure to meet this responsibility. The definitive version of the material will be presented in class the blog, not taken from the textbooks.

Assignments will be given regularly. They will not be graded each week, but it is absolutely essential to solve each homework problem in order to understand the material and develop the necessary skills.

Communication devices must remain switched off during the class periods and final.

Additional Mathematics course policies

Syllabus: Sets, logic, proofs in algebra and calculus.
