Grading: 20% for each of 5 in-class tests.

Study plan: reserve 1 - 2 hours for homework between each pair of classes. Successful
performance in the class depends critically on completion of the homework assignments.

In year 0, an island has  r(0) = 500  rabbits and f(0) = 20  foxes.
The numbers  r(n)  of rabbits and  f(n)  of foxes in year  n  are given in terms of the
populations one year earlier by the following equations:
  r(n) = 1.2 r(n-1) - 0.6 f(n-1)
  f(n) = 0.2 r(n-1) + 0.4 f(n-1) .
Find explicit formulas for  r(n)  and  f(n) .  Determine the ultimate fate of the population.
